Muhammed’in (sas) gönderilmesine kadar sürdü. Kur’an-ı Kerim’de Hz. Âdem’den (as) Hz. Muhammed’e (sas) kadar 25 peygamberin ismi zikrediliyor. Peki bu 25 peygamberi ne kadar tanıyoruz?
İlk
insan ve ilk peygamber Hz. Âdem (as) ile başlayan insanlık tarihi, onun
ardından gelen diğer peygamberle devam etmiş. Allahü Teâlâ, akıl ve iradenin
yanında insanı göz-kulak gibi dış duyular, sezgi ve feraset gibi iç duyularla
donatmış. Bu nimet imkânlarının yanı sıra peygamberler gönderip kitaplar
indirerek insanı desteklemiş. Peygamberler, Allah’ın hikmeti, adaleti, rahmeti
ve bereketinin gereği olarak insanlığa hidayet rehberleri ve dünya hayatında
yol kılavuzları olarak gönderilmiş. Kur’an-ı Kerim’de, gönderilen
peygamberlerin sayısı konusunda kesin bir bilgi verilmiyor. Bu çerçevede
âyetlerde önemle vurgulanan husus, her millete, her bölgeye bir uyarıcının
gönderildiği. Allahü Teâlâ, Mü’min Suresi’nde “And olsun ki senden önce de biz
peygamberler gönderdik. Onlardan bir kısmının hikâyesini sana anlattık bir
kısmınınkini ise anlatmadık.” mealindeki âyette bütün peygamberleri bize
bildirmediğini beyan ediyor. Teftazani Şerhu’l Akaid kitabında 124 bin veya 224
bin rakamlarının, kesinlik düzeyine sahip olmadığı gibi inanç haline
getirilmesinin de uygun bulunmadığını bildiriyor. Peygamberlerin sayısı
konusunda bildiğimiz en kesin rakam, Kur’an’da isimleri zikredilen
peygamberler. Kur’an-ı Kerim’de Hz. Âdem’den (as) Hz. Muhammed’e (sas) kadar 25
peygamberin adı zikrediliyor. Bunların 18’i En’am Suresi’nin 83-86.
ayetlerinde, diğerleri ise çeşitli surelerde geçiyor: Âl-i İmran 33, Araf 65,
Hud 61, 84, Enbiya 85 ve Ahzab 40. âyet-i kerimelerde beyan ediliyor. Bu sayıya
peygamberliği konusunda ihtilaf edilen Hz. Lokman ve Hz. Zülkarneyn, Hz. Yuşa,
Hz. Hızır gibi isimler dâhil değil. Bu isimlerin peygamber mi yoksa veli mi
oldukları konusunda ihtilaf edilmiş.
1. Hz
Âdem (as):
Allahü Teâlâ, ilk insan

Habil’i öldürmesi. Hz. Âdem’in çocukları olan insanlar sayıları az ama

Allah onun cesedini topraktan, sonra da kendisine eş olsun diye Havva’yı O'nun
kaburga kemiğinden yaratmıştır.
2. Hz.
İdris (as):
Hz. Âdem’in torunu.
Onun dönemindeki temel sorun, dürüstlüğün kalmaması. Bu yüzden doğruluk

3. Hz.
Nuh (as):
Hz. Nuh’un meskeni
Irak’ta idi. Varlıklı bir kavimle uzun ve çetin bir imtihanı oldu. Allah, Hz.
Nuh’a ağaç dikmesini emretti ve kırk yılda yetişen ağaç, gemi yapımında
kullanıldı. Gemi tamamlandığında Allah, ailesini, inananları ve her canlıdan
bir çifti gemiye almasını emretti. Kırk gün süren yağmurun ardından seller
yeryüzünde taşmadık yer bırakmadı. Hz. Nuh ve gemidekiler dışında yeryüzünde
bulunanların hepsi tufanda boğulup helak oldu. Nuh’un gemisi, altı ay su
üzerinde dünyanın her tarafını dolaşarak Cudi Dağı’nın eteğine yanaştı.
Tufandan sonra dünya adeta yeniden kuruldu. Bu yüzden Hz. Nuh’a ikinci Âdem
deniliyor. Nuh, Kur’an’da adı 43 defa geçmektedir. Kur’an’ın 71. suresi onun
adını taşımaktadır. Kavminden kendisine çok az kişi iman etmiştir. Karısı ve
çocuklarından biri de iman etmeyenler arasındadır. Nuh tufanından sonra yeni
bir nesil yaratılmıştır.
4. Hz.
Hud (as):
İrem şehrinde, yüksek
binalar inşa etme yarışına giren Âd kavmine gönderildi. Tufandan sonra
gönderilen peygamberlerin ilklerinden. Ad kavmi, bugün Yemen’de Hadramevt’in
kuzeyine denk düşen bir bölgede yaşamaktaydı. Hz. Hud (as) zühd, takva ve
ibadet ehli idi. Cömert ve şefkatliydi, yoksullara bol bol sadaka verirdi. Hud,
Kur’an’da adı 10 defa geçmektedir. Kur’an’ın 11. suresi onun adını
taşımaktadır. Yaşadıkları yer olan İrem şehrinde, yüksek binalar inşa etme
yarışına girmiş Âd Kavmine gönderilmiştir. Ticaretle uğraşmıştır.
5. Hz.
Salih (as):
İsa (as) gibi yalın
ayak yürür, ayakkabı giymezdi. Salih, Kur’an’da adı 8 defa geçmektedir. Dağları
ve yüksek kayaları oyarak inşa ettikleri görkemli evlerle ünlü Semud kavmine
gönderilmiştir. Semudlular kendilerine denemek için gönderilen Salih’in
devesini öldürdüler. Ticaretle uğraşmıştır.
6. Hz.
İbrahim (as):
Babası Âzer, Harran
halkındandı. İbrahim (as), ayak izlerine varıncaya kadar Efendimiz’e insanların
en çok benzeyeniydi. Babil hükümdarı Nemrut tarafından ateşe atılmış, ateş
kendisini yakmamıştı. Hz. İbrahim’in ilk çocuğu Hacer validemizden İsmail, Sare
validemizden ikinci çocuğu İshak dünyaya geldi. Oğlu Hz. İsmail (as) ile
Kâbe’yi inşa etti. Çok misafirperver biriydi. Kendisine 10 sahife indirildi. Halilullah
yani Allah'ın dostu olarak anılır. İbrahim, Kur’an’da adı 69 defa geçmektedir.
Kur’anın 14. suresi onun adını taşımaktadır.
7. Hz.
Lût (as):
Hz. İbrahim’in
kardeşinin oğludur. Lut’un (as) peygamber olarak gönderildiği Ashabü’l-
Mü’tefike kavmi, gayr-i meşru fiil işliyorlardı. Lut (as), Allah tarafından
kendilerine yüksek meziyetler, hüküm ve ilim verilen peygamberlerden. Allah,
O’nu küfür ve ahlâksızlıkları destan olan Sodom ve diğer dört şehir halkına
peygamber olarak gönderdi. Lut (as) onların içinde yaklaşık yirmi dokuz yıl
kaldı. Lut (as) vefat edinceye kadar Şam-Filistin toprağında amcası İbrahim (as)
ile oturdu. Lût, Kur’an’da adı 27 defa geçmektedir. İbrahim’e iman eden ilk
kişidir, onunla birlikte hicret edenlerdendir. Sodom ve Gomora şehirlerinde
yaşayan Lut Kavmine peygamber olarak gönderilmiştir.
8. Hz.
İsmail (as):
Hz. İbrahim’in
Hacer’den doğma oğlu. İsmail, Kur’an’da adı 12 defa geçmektedir. Çobanlık yaptı
ve babası Hz. İbrahim (as) ile Kâbe’yi inşa etti. Hacla ilgili pek çok merasim
ve kurban kesme konularında Hz. İbrahim (as) ile birlikte insanlara örnek oldu.
Hz. Muhammed (as) onun soyundan geliyor. Hz. İsmail, 137 yaşında iken Mekke’de vefat etti ve naaşı annesi
Hacer’in kabrinin yanına defnedildi.

İshak (as):
Hz. İbrahim’in ilk eşi

Suretçe, babası İbrahim’e (as) benzerdi. Yaşlanınca gözleri görmez oldu. İshak
(as), babası Hz. İbrahim’in vefatından sonra Şam’da peygamberlikle
vazifelendirildi. Rivayete göre İshak (as) ile annesi Hz. Sare, Şam’dan
Mekke’ye gelip hac ettiler. İshak, Kur’an’da adı 15 defa geçmektedir.
İbrahim’in oğludur. Muhammed haricinde Kur’an’da adı geçip de kendisinden sonra
gelen bütün peygamberlerin atasıdır.
10. Hz.
Yakup (as):
İbrahim’in torunu,
İshak'ın oğludur. Evlat acısı ve ihanetiyle imtihan edildi. Oğlu Hz. Yusuf’un
(as) acısıyla gözleri kapandı, ona kavuşmasıyla yeniden açıldı. Mısır’a
gitmeden önce Filistin civarında peygamberlik yaptı. Yakup, Kur’an’da adı 16
defa geçmektedir. Diğer ismi İsrail'dir. İsrailoğulları onun 12 oğlundan
türemiştir.
11. Hz.
Yusuf (as):
Suretçe Âdem’i (as)
andırırdı. Hz. Yakup’un 12 oğlundan en çok sevdiği çocuğudur. Kardeşleri
kendisini kıskanmış ve kuyuya atmışlardı. Rüya yorumlama yeteneği ve bilgisi
sayesinde Mısır’a yönetici oldu. Kur’an’da toplu olarak baştan sona anlatılan
tek kıssa Yusuf suresidir. Bu kıssa Kur’an’da ‘kıssaların güzeli’ olarak
nitelendirilir. Yusuf, Kur’an’da adı 27 defa geçmektedir. Kur’an’ın 12. suresi
onun adını taşımaktadır.
12. Hz.
Eyyub (as):
Hz. Eyyub’un (as)
annesi, Lut’un (as) kızı idi. Babası,
Hz. İbrahim’e iman edenlerdendi. Davud’a (as) göre Eyyub (as), insanların en
halimi, en sabırlısı ve öfkelerini en çok yeneni idi. Yoksul bulundurmadıkça
yemek yemezdi. Çok ağır bir hastalık geçirmiş, sabrıyla sembol olmuştur. Eyyub,
Kur’an’da adı 4 defa geçmektedir.
13. Hz.
Şuayb (as):
Kavmini, güzel ve
yüksek sözlerle uyarmaya çalıştığı için ve hitabet yeteneğinden dolayı ‘Peygamberlerin Hatibi’ olarak
anılırdı. Ölçü ve tartıda hile yapan Medyen ve Eyke halkına gönderildi. Hz.
Şuayb’in kızlarından biriyle Hz. Musa evlenmiştir. Şuayb, Kur’an’da 11 defa
geçmektedir.
14. Hz.
Musa (as):
Şuayb’ın damadıdır. Kur’an’da
ismi ve mücadelesinden en çok bahsedilen peygamber. Sağ elinde nübüvvet beni
vardı. İsrailoğullarına peygamber olarak gönderildi ve ilahi beyanlardan Tevrat
indirildi. İsrailoğulları onun önderliğinde Mısır’dan çıktı. Musa, Kur’an’da
adı 136 defa geçmektedir.
15. Hz.
Harun (as):
Kardeşi Musa’dan (as)
bir yaş büyüktü. Onun yardımcısı olarak görevlendirilmişti. Hz. Musa,
Medyen’den Mısır’a dönünce Harun’a Allah’ın buyruklarını iletmiş, o da bunları
kabul ederek Hz. Musa’ya yardımcı olmuştu. Güzel konuşması ve hitabet yeteneği,
en güçlü özelliğiydi. Harun, Kur’an’da adı 20 defa geçmektedir.
16.
Davud (as):
Gür sesli, güzel huylu,
temiz kalpli ve çok anlayışlıydı. Sesi o kadar güzeldi ki dağlar ve kuşlar
kendisine eşlik ederdi. Önceleri Tâlût’un ordusunda bir asker olarak savaşmış,
daha sonra Allah’ın kendisine verdiği peygamberlik ve hükümdarlıkla
İsrailoğullarına kral olmuştu. Demirciydi. Kendisine İlahi beyanlardan Zebur
verilmişti. Davud, Kur’an’da adı 16 defa geçmektedir.
17. Hz.
Süleyman (as):
Hz. Davud’un oğlu. Soyu
Hz. İbrahim’e dayanır. Babası Hz. Davud’un vefatından sonra kendisine krallıkla
birlikte peygamberlik verildi. Süleyman (as) krallık ve kadılıkta babasından
üstündü. Babası ise Allah’a ibadette oğlundan daha ileriydi. Bütün canlılarla
konuşabilme yeteneğine sahipti. İnsanların yanı sıra kuşlar, rüzgârlar ve
cinler ona hizmet etmek üzere tahsis edilmişti. Süleyman, Kur’an’da adı 17 defa
geçmektedir.
18. Hz.
Zülkifl (as):
Hz. Eyyub’un (as) oğlu
Zülkifl (as), Şam’da oturdu. Sabreden, Allah’ın rahmetine ulaşan ve salihlerden
olduğu bildirilen peygamberlerdendi. Zülkifl, Kur’an’da adı 2 defa geçmektedir.
19. Hz.
İlyas (as):
Baalbek’te yaşayan
İsrailoğullarına peygamber olarak gönderildi. Hz. Musa’nın hizmetini yürüten
Yuşa b. Nun’un torunudur. Kavmi onu yalanladığı için sünnetullah gereği helak
oldu. Kur’an’da salih kimseler ve peygamberler arasında zikredilir. İlyas,
Kur’an’da adı 3 defa geçmektedir.
20.
Elyesa (as):
Hz. İlyas’ın amcasının
oğlu olduğu söylenir. Elyesa (as) ömrünün sonuna kadar İsrailoğullarının
arasında kalıp, onları Allah’a davet etti. İlyas ve Elyesa (as) Lübnan
sınırları içinde bulunan Baalbek kentinde yaşamış ve orada vefat etmişlerdi. Elyesa,
Kur’an’da adı 2 defa geçmektedir. İlyas’a yardımcı olarak gönderilmiştir.
21. Hz.
Yunus (as):
Allah, Kur’an-ı Kerim’de,
onu balık sahibi diyerek anar. İlyas’tan (as) sonra peygamber olarak
gönderildi. Yunus (as) otuz üç yıl kavmini, Allah’a iman ve ibadete davet
ettiği halde kendisine iki kişiden başka iman eden olmadı. İman edenlerden biri
Rubil, diğeri Tenuh idi. Yunus, Kur’an’da adı 4 defa geçmektedir. Kur’an’ın 10.
suresi onun adını taşımaktadır. Asurluların başkenti olan Ninova halkına
peygamber olarak görevlendirilmiştir. Bir yunus balığı tarafından yutulmuş ama
daha sonra bu balık tarafından karaya çıkarılmıştır.
22. Hz.
Zekeriyya (as):
Hazreti Süleyman’ın
(as) soyundan. Marangozlukla geçiniyordu. Yahudiler arasında ibadet, bilgi ve
görgüsüyle temayüz etmişti. İsrailoğullarının peygamberi ve danışmanıydı.
Kudüs’te Hz. Meryem’in himayesini üstlenmiş, ona koruyuculuk yapmıştı.
İsrailoğulları tarafından ağaçla birlikte kesilerek şehit edildi. Zekeriyâ,
Kur’an’da adı 7 defa geçmektedir.
23. Hz.
Yahya (as):
Hz. Zekeriyya’nın (as)
oğludur. Zekeriyya (as) Allah’a dua edip kendisinin ve Hz. Yakup neslinin ilim
ve sünnetini sürdürecek varis istediğinde Allah, ona bir çocuk vermeyi
müjdeledi. Küçük yaşta hikmet sahibi olan Hz. Yahya’ya nübüvvet görevi
verilmişti. O da babası Hz. Zekeriyya gibi Yahudilerce öldürülen bir
peygamberdi. Hazreti İsa’nın (as) müjdecisidir. Yahya, Kur’an’da adı 5 defa
geçmektedir. Adı daha önce hiç kullanılmamış bir isimdir ve Allah tarafından
konulmuştur.
24. Hz.
İsa (as):
Allah'ın mucizesi eseri
babasız olarak doğmuştur. Beşikteyken
konuşmuş, ölüleri diriltmiş, hastaları ve körleri iyileştirmişti. Onun doğduğu
sene miladi takvimin başlangıcı kabul edilir. Otuz yaşındayken Hz. İsa’ya vahiy
geldi ve İncil nazil oldu. İsa (as) zamanında tıp ilmi üstündü. İsa (as)
ölüleri diriltiyor, doktorların iyileştiremediği ağır hastaları
iyileştiriyordu. İsa, Kur’an’da adı 25 defa geçmektedir. Mesleği marangozluktu
25. Hz.
Muhammed (sas):
Hz. Peygamber’in soyu
Hz. İsmail kanalıyla Hz. İbrahim’e dayanır. Kureyş kabilesindendir. Hz.
Peygamber, fil vakasından 50 gün sonra Rebiülevvel ayının 12 Pazartesi günü dünyaya
geldi (20 Nisan 571). 40 yaşındayken peygamberlik verildi. O’na ilk inananlar
kadınlardan eşi Hz. Hatice, gençlerden amcasının oğlu Hz. Ali, azatlısı Hz.
Zeyd, erkeklerden en yakını Hz. Ebu Bekir idi. Bütün insanlığa gönderilen son
peygamber olduğu için Hatemü’l Enbiya denmiştir. Son İlahi beyan olan Kur’an-ı
Kerim Hz. Muhammed’e (sas) indirildi. Muhammed, Kur’an’da adı 4 defa
geçmektedir. Kur’an’ın 47. suresi onun adını taşımaktadır.
Kur'an’da adı geçen peygamberler; İlki Âdem, sonuncusu ise Muhammed'dir.
Bu ikisi arasında sayısı bazı hadis kaynaklarına göre 124 bin olan başka
peygamberlerden de bahsedilir. Ancak bu Peygamberlerden 25 tanesi Kur'an'da yer
almaktadır. "Ey Muhammed! And olsun, senden önce de birçok peygamber
gönderdik. Sana onların kimini anlattık, kimini de anlatmadık." (Mümin
