Yapısının %90 su olan mantarların aksine Reishi mantarı (Ganoderma Lucıdum) sadece %75 su içerir. Bunun da iki sonucu vardır. İlk olarak yapısındaki su miktarının diğer mantarlarınkinden az olmasından dolayı, aktif bileşen miktarı daha fazladır. Öte yandan, su içeriğinin az olmasından ve yapısında kitin içermesinden dolayı, Ganoderma Lucıdum’ un gövdesi sert bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu nedenle kimse bu mantarı işlem görmeden yiyemez. Kitin tıbbi önemi olan bileşikleri bloke etmektedir. İnsanlar tarafından kullanabilmesi için öncelikle, hastalıklara karşı koruyucu etkisi olduğu bilimsel deneylerle ispatlanmış biyolojik aktif bileşiklerin, mantarın bu odunsu yapısından ekstrakte edilmesi gerekir. Sindirim sistemimizde emilimin sağlanabilmesi açısından da ölümsüzlük mantarının ekstrakt formu en uygun tüketim şeklidir. Bu mantarın basitçe toz haline getirilmiş hali tamamen eksiksizdir. Literatürde bu mantarın etkinliği ile ilgili çok nadirde olsa çelişkili sonuçlar çıkması toz halinin ya da düzgün özütlenme yapılmamış formunun kullanılmasıyla açıklanmaktadır.
TIBBİ ETKİLERİ:
Efsane mantar Reishi, 2000 yılı aşkın süreden beri, Çin ve Japonya halkları tarafından sağlıklı yaşam ve uzun ömür için kullanılagelmiş, özellikle karaciğer bozuklukları, kanser, bronşit, artrit ve hipertansiyon gibi rahatsızlıkların tedavisinde doğal bir ilaç olarak tercih edilmiştir. Son yıllarda Ganoderma Lucıdum’ un tıbbi etkisine yönelik olarak çok sayıda araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu konuda yapılan araştırmaları www.pubmed.com adresinden kontrol edebilirsiniz. Dünyada çok kullanılan biyomedikal yayın arama motoru olan pubmed 01/01/2008 tarihi itibariyle Ganoderma Lucıdum için 436 sonuç vermektedir. Yapılan araştırmalarda Ganoderma Lucıdum’un antitümör, antialerjik, antienflamatuar, antiviral, anti bakteriyel ve özellikle antioksidan (yaşlanmayı geciktirici) özellik taşıyan bileşikler içerdiği bulunmuştur.
Bu özellikleri nedeniyle “şifalı bitkilerin mucizevî kralı” olarak nitelendirilen Ganoderma Lucıdum’un Ginseng’ den daha güçlü olduğu öne sürülmektedir
Efsane mantar ‘un tıbbi etkilerini ayrıntılı olarak incelemeden önce önemle belirtmek istiyoruz ki Ganoderma Lucıdum toksik değildir. Ölümsüzlük mantarı Ganoderma Lucıdum herhangi bir yan etki oluşturmadan her gün alınabilir.
Ganoderma Lucıdum Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Avustralya ve Avrupa’ da da satılmakta ve kullanılmaktadır.
KANSERE KARŞI KORUYUCU (ANTİ TÜMÖR) ETKİLERİ
Kanser tümörlerine karşı Ganoderma Lucıdum bileşenlerinin etkili olduğu birçok bilimsel araştırmada gösterilmiştir bu konuda yapılmış olan bilimsel araştırmaları görmek için www.pubmed.com adresinde “Ganoderma Lucıdum cancer” kelimeleri ile tarama yapabilirsiniz. 01.07.2008 tarihi itibariyle PUBMED 103 araştırma sonucu vermektedir. Radyoterapiden önce veya sonra alınması hiç fark etmez. Lökosit, eritrosit ve trombosit seviyeleri en kısa sürede normale dönmektedir.
Efsane mantar Ganoderma Lucıdum terminal kanser hastalarında morfin kullanımını azaltırken bağışıklık hücrelerinin sayısının artmasını sağlayarak ameliyat sonrası hastaların iyileşme sürecini hızlandırmaktadır.
Amerika Birleşik Devletlerinde Methodist Araştırma Enstitüsü kanser araştırma laboratuarlarında yapılan bir araştırmada Ganoderma Lucıdum mantarından elde edilen ganoderik asit A ve H triterpenlerin göğüs kanseri hücrelerini büyümesini ve yayılmasını durdurduğu gözlenmiştir.
Ganoderma Lucıdum’un Cancer Letters dergisinde yayınlanan bir makalede Ganoderma Lucıdum’un sporlarında elde edilen yağların hepatoma (karaciğer tümörü), sarcoma (bağ dokusu habis tümörü) ve reticulocyte sarcoma (genç eritrosit tümörü) tümörlerin büyümesini %80-90 oranında engellediği bildirilmiştir.
Ganoderma Lucıdum’un suda elde edilen özütünün kolon kanserine karşı koruyucu olduğu bulunmuştur.
ANTİOKSİDAN ÖZELLİKLERİ
Oksidatif stres insanlarda ateroskleroz, Parkinson hastalığı, Alzheimer gibi birçok hastalığa neden olmaktadır. Oksidatif stres aynı zamanda da yaşlanmada da önemli bir yere sahiptir. Antioksidanlar serbest radikallerin oluşmasını engelleyen, oluşanları ortadan kaldıran ve verdikleri zararı önleyen maddelerdir. Antioksidan enzim düzeylerinde ki azalma ve/veya DNA onarım mekanizmalarında eksiklik olması, ROM ve oksidatif DNA hasarının artmasına yol açmaktadır.
Antioksidan enzim düzeyleri yaşlılıkla birlikte azalmaktadır. Başka bir deyişle vücutta antioksidanların azalması sonucu yaşlanma meydana gelir. Bundan dolayı, yaşlanmayla beraber vücutta oksidatif stres düzeyleri artarken kanser, kalp damar hastalıkları ve beyin felci olgularında artış görülmektedir. Son yıllarda insanların maruz kaldıkları hava kirlilikleri, hazır gıdalardaki koruyucu katkı maddeleri, denizlerin kirlenmesi sonucu balıklar sonucu alınan kimyasallar, pestisitler, ağır metaller, sigara vb zararlı maddeler nedeniyle de oksidatif stres artmaktadır.
İnsanlar arasında antioksidan enzim seviyeleri açısından ciddi farklılıklar bulunmaktadır. DNA yapısındaki nükleotid farklılıklardan kaynaklanan bu değişimlere polimorfizm denilmektedir. Antioksidan enzimler kimi insanda çok aktif oldukları halde kimilerinde ise düşük seviyededirler. Bundan dolayı birinin maruz kaldığı çevresel kirlilik, oksidatif stres, kanserojen, madde gibi etkenler o kişide herhangi bir hastalığa yol açmazken, bir başkasında kanser, kalp hastalığı, inme gibi ölümcül hastalıklara neden olabilmektedir. Şu anda rutin çalışan laboratuarlarda antioksidan enzim seviyelerine ve DNS farklılıklarına bakılmamaktadır. Bu yüzden hiç birimiz vücudumuzda bu enzimlerin bulunduğunu, DNA’mızda antioksidan enzim seviyelerini düşürecek bir mutasyon olup olmadığını bilmiyoruz. Vücudumuzda neler olup olmadığını bilmediğimize göre hastalıklardan korunmak için yapılacak en akıllıca iş antioksidan alımımızı arttırmak olmalıdır. Diyabet hastalarında da oksidatif stres artmakta, bu da böbrek, kalp ve karaciğer gibi organlarda hasara yol açmaktadır.
Efsane mantar Ganoderma Lucıdum karaciğer ve böbreklerin oksidatif hasarını önlemektedir.
Ganoderma Lucıdum’ un hücresel DNA’ yı oksidatif hasara karşı koruyan biyolojik aktif bileşikler içerdiği bildirilmiştir. Ganoderma Lucıdum’ un özütünün ultraviyole ışınları ve radikali sonucu DNA’ da oluşan kırıklara karşı koruma sağladığı bulunmuştur.
Ayrıca bu yıl Journal of Ethnopharmacology dergisinde yayınlanan bir çalışmada Ganoderma Lucıdum ‘ un suda çözünen özünün oksidatif DNA hasarı sırasında ortaya çıkan 8OHdG konsantrasyonunu düşürdüğü gösterilmiştir.
Lee ve Ark. Tarafından yapılan bir araştırmada Ganoderma Lucıdum’ dan izole edilen aminopolisakkaritlerin hidroksil radikali (OHx) v esüperoksit anyonunu )o2-) inaktive etmiş ve reaktif oksijen türleri tarafından indüklenen oksidatif strese karşı koruyucu etkisi olduğu ortaya konmuştur.
Ajith ve janardhanan yazılan bir makalede Ganoderma Lucıdum’un ciddi antioksidan özellikler içerdiği belirtilmektedir.
Ganoderma Lucıdum’ un antioksidan özelliği sayesinde makrofajlardaki süperoksit anyonu oluşumunu engellediği bundan dolayısı ile ateroskleroza karşı terapatik bir ajan olarak kullanabileceği ortaya konmuştur.
Vücudun oksijen kullanımını düzenleyen Ganoderma Lucıdum kalp krizini ve spazmı önlemektedir.
ANTİ-DİABETİK ETKİLERİ
Ganoderma Lucidum’ dan izole edilen polisakkaritlerin hipoglisemk (şeker düşürücü) etkisi olduğu gösterilmiştir. Zhang HN, Lin ZB
Ayrıca Ganoderma Lucidum’ dan elde edilen polisakkaritlerin diyabetik farelerdeki meta bolikanormallikleri düzelttiği ve diyabetik böbrek komplikasyonlarını durduğu veya ilerlemesini yavaşlaştığı ortaya konmuştur.
Ganoderma Lucidum’ da bulunan bazı peptidoglukanlar, ganoderan B, D ve triterpenler pankreasın düzgün çalışmasını sağlayarak kandaki şeker seviyesinin kontrol altında tutulmasını sağlayabilmektir. Özellikle tip 2 diabette etkili olduğu belirtilen Ganoderma Lucidum bu hastalığın beraberinde getirdiği rahatsızlıkların da iyileşmesinde koruma amaçlı önerilmektedir. (Tomodo ve ark., 1986; Hikino ve ark., 2004).
KARACİĞER KORUYUCU VE KRONİK HEPATİTE KARŞI ETKİLERİ
Çin’ de geleneksel tıpta kullanılan bir mantar olan Ganoderma Lucidum, değişik etiyolojilere sahip kronik hepatopatilerin tedavisinde yaygın olarak kullanılmıştır. Ganoderma Lucidumhem akut hem kronik tedavide kullanılır. Antienflamatuar ve antifibibrotik etkisiyle karaciğer sirozunda çok faydalıdır. In-vitro ve hayvan çalışmalarında Ganoderma Lucidum eksraktından elde edilen polisakkaritlerin ve triterpenoidlerin toksik kimyasallar (örneğin CCI4) sonucu meydana gelen karaciğer hasarına karşı koruyucu etki gösterdiği bulunmuştur. (Byun ve Rim, 1987; Wasser 2005)
Ganoderma Lucidum’ dan elde edilen ganodermik asit T ve Z karaciğerde tümör gelişmesini engellemektedir. Bu aktif maddelerin Hepatit B virüsüne koruyucu etki göstererek kronik hepatiti önlediği bulunmuştur. Ayrıca mantarların misellerinden elde edilen ganodermik asit R ve S ile sporlarından elde edilen ganosporik asit A da kronik hepatite karşı koruyucu etki göstermektedir. (Chen ve Yu, 1999; Kim ve Ark. 1999; Zhang ve Ark, 2002; Gao ve ark, 2003; Wasser 2005)
• Journal of ethnopharmacology dergisinde yayınlanan bir araştırmada ganoderma lucidumdan elde edilen peptid’leri kronik hepatit durumunda görülen yüksek serum AST,ALT enzim aktivitelerini, yüksek MDA değerlerini, düşük SOD aktivitesi ve düşük GSH seviyesini normale döndürdüğü ve karaciğer koruyucu etkileri olduğu gözlenmiştir.
KOLESTEROL DÜŞÜRÜCÜ ETKİLERİ
Ganoderma Lucidum plazma ve karaciğerde kolesterol sentezini yavaşlatarak ve / veya kolesterol metabolizmasını hızlandırarak toplam kolesterol düzeyinde düşüş meydana getirir.
HİPERTANSİYONA KARŞI ETKİSİ
Ganoderma Lucıdum uzak doğu ülkelerinde yüz yıllar boyunca yüksek kan basıncının düşürülmesinde kullanılmıştır. Yüksek tansiyona yol açan bir enzim olan
anjiyontensin- dönüştüren enzimin( ACE) çalışması Ganoderma lucidumdan izole edilen ganodermik asit B ve D tarafından engellenmekte bu sayede kan basıncı düşmektedir.(morigiwa ve ark. 1986)
ANTİVİRAL ETKİLERİ
Ganoderma lucidumdan izole edilen lucidenik asit O, lucideik lakton, linoleik asit, ganodermik asit B, C, H , ganoderiol A, B, F, ganodermanontriol ve lucidimol B’nin antiviral özellikler taşıdığı , AİDS neden olan HIV ve HERPES virüslerine karşı ümit verici sonuçlar verdiği belirtilmektedir.(Eo ve ark. 1999; Wasser 2005 )
Ganoderma lucidumun HERPES simplex virüsüne direk etki ettiği, virüsün konak hucreye yapışmasın ve girmesini engelleyerek antiviral etkili olduğu
gösterilmiştir.
Ganoderma lucidumdan izole edilen ganoderik asidin hepatit-B virüsünün çoğalmasını engellediği gösterilmiştir.(Li ve Wang 2006 )
Herpes zosterde (zona) ağrı ve derideki problemleri azaltmaktadır. İçinde Ganoderma lucidumda bulunan bitki karışımının sıcak suda elde edilen özütünün verildiği 5 Japon zona hastasında hastalığın bir kaç gün içinde ağrısının azaldığı, 10 gün içinde ise tamamen yok olduğu görülmüştür.(Hijikata

ANTİBAKTARİYEL ETKİSİ
Ganoderma lucidumun antibaktariyel etkisinde en önemli bileşikler triterpenlerdir. Ve bu mantarlardan elde edilen bazı ekstraktlar bacillus subtilis, B.cerus coryne bacteriyum dibhetaeria, eshericia coli, klebsiella oxytoka, phylococcus aeteus gibi toplam 15 bakteriye karşı başarıyla
kullanılmaktadır. Helicobacter pylory insanlarda gastrit, ülser ve mide kanserine yol açmaktadır.Ganoderma lucidumun özütünde bu bakterinin büyümesinin durduğu gözlenmiştir. Bu nedenle efsane mantar Ganoderma lucidumun ülsere karşı son derece etkili olduğu bilinmektedir.
KANIN PIHTILAŞMASINA ETKİSİ
Kan hücrelerinin trombositlerin bir araya gelerek pıhtılaşmasıyla trombozis oluşmaktadır. Damarların tıkanmasıyla yol açan bu durum insan sağlığı açısından
son derece tehlikelidir. Ganoderma lucidumda bulunan bir adenosin, kanın pıhtılaşmasını önleyerek damarların tıkanmasını engellemektedir. Bununla birlikte Ganoderma lucidumda bulunan yüksek adenosin miktarının kanın sulandırması nedeniyle bu mantar hemofili hastalarına önerilmektedir.
ANTİENFLAMATUAR ETKİLERİ
Astım, alerji, romatizma ve ateşli hastalıklarda mast hücrelerinden aşırı miktarda histamin salgılanmaktadır. Ganoderma lucidumda doğal olarak bulunan
ganodermik asit A, C, D ve Cyclooctasulfur’un histamin salınımını engelleyici etkisi bulunmaktadır . böylece ganoderma lucidum alerji, simse ve anaflaktik şoku engellemektedir.(Tasaka ve ark. 1988 Wasser 2005 )
Pre-klinik çalışmalarda Ganoderma lucidumun bağışıklık düzenleyici ve ağrı giderici özellikleri olduğu gösterilmiştir.
Astım, sedef, romatizma, pankreas iltihaplanması ve büyümesi gibi bazı hastalıkların ortaya çıkmasında rol oynayan fosfolipaz grubu enzimlerde Ganoderma Lucidum tarafından engellenmektedir.
Ölümsüzlük mantarı olarak ta bilinen Ganoderma Lucidum ileri ülkelerde solunun yolları problemlerinin çözücüsü olarak ta tanınmaktadır. Kronik bronşit hastası olan 2000 Çinli hasta üzerinde yapılan ve ‘Herbs for health’ dergisinde yayınlanan bir araştırmaya göre iki hafta süreyle Ganoderma Lucidum kullanan bu hastaların %60-90’nın kendilerini daha iyi hissettikleri ve iştahlarının arttığı bulunmuştur.
DİĞER ETKİLERİ
Ganoderma Lucidum dan izole edilen ve Ling Zhi – 8 adı verile bir proteinin taransplant reddini engellediği de gösterilmiştir.
Ganoderma Lucidum, kas distroisinde kullanılmaktadır.
Rusya’ da kozmonotların uzay yolculukları sırasında yanlarında götürdüğü ve dönüşte vücutlarının dünyaya kısa sürede adaptasyonunu sağlamada

Şu ana dek yapılmış olan birçok araştırmanın ışığı altında Ganoderma Lucıdum’un antitümör, antioksidan, antibakteriyal, antiviral, antihiv (AIDS), antiülser,antiallerjik, antidepresan, ağrı kesici, ateş düşürücü, yaşlanmayı geciktirici, kan basıncını düzenleyici ve detoks özellikleri bulunduğu ortaya konmuştur.
ÖZETLE
Efsane mantar Reishi Ganoderma Lucıdum kalp, beyin, karaciğer ve akciğer koruyucu olmasının yanında, bağışıklık sistemini de güçlendirdiği hastalıklara karşı direnci de arttırdığı, akne, adet düzensizliği, Alzheimer, anoraksıya, astım, bronşit, depresyon, eklem romatizması, epilepsi, hemoroit, hipertansiyon, kanser, kireçlenme, kronik hepatit, katarakt, Obezite, gut, nezle, rinit, retinal pigment dejenerasyonu, saç dökülmesi, nefrit, nevrastani, ülser ve
uykusuzluk gibi birçok hastalığın tedavisinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. (Ooi 2000; Chen ve Ark, 2004; Liu ve Zhang 2005)
Aşağıda görülen www.fungi.com sitesinin yayınladığı tabloda Ganoderma Lucidum un belirtilmiş 17 kriterden 16 tanesini sağlamaktadır. Bu özelliği ile Ganoderma Lucidum tıbbi mantarlar arasında birinci sırada gelmektedir.
TOKSİTİTE VERİLERİ
Ganoderma Lucidum mantarının toksitite çalışmaları da yapılmıştır.Akut Toksitite testinde enjekte edebilecek maksimum doz verildiğinde dahi ciddi toksikbelirtiler ya da ölüm gözlenmemektedir. Bu nedenle LD 50 değeri hesaplanamamıştır.Sub-akut toksitite testinde çalışmaların hiç bir evresinde hayvan ölümü gözlenmemiştir. Test grubundaki fare ve sıçanlar ile kontrol grubu arasında vücut ağırlığı ve besin alımı yönünden fark görülmemiştir. Ayrıca test bitiminde yapılan idrar ve kan analizlerinde herhangi bir anormallik bulunmamıştır. Otopsi ve organ tartım analizleride test edilen maddenin bir etkisini ortaya koymamıştır. Histopatolojik incelemede test edilen aktif bileşiklerin oluşturduğu karakteristik toksik bulgulara rastlanmamıştır. (Sugiura ve Ito, 1977; Chiu ve ark, 2000)
YAN ETKİLERİ
Mantarı ilk defa kullanan insanlarda bazen kusma, kaşıntı, der,de hafif kızarma, sık idrar çıkma gibi yan etkileri görülmüştür. Ganoderma Lucidum’ un herkeste ortaya çıkmayan bu etkisi geçici olup ilk kullanımdan 5 – 6 gün sonra ortadan kalkmaktadır. Bu durum vücudun daha önce bu mantarlar tanışık olmamasından ve özellikle içeriğindeki Germanyum elementinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Aynı zamanda Ganoderma Lucidum’ un vücutta birikim yapmış zararlı maddelerin atılmasının (detoks özelliği) da belirtisi olup, mantarın vücutta çalıştığının bir göstergesi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Hemofili hastaları hariç herkes Reishi kullanabilir. Bağışıklığını güçlendirme, fiziksel canlılığını koruma, geliştirme ve her türlü zihinsel yorgunlukların kurtulabilme yönünde, kendine yüksek düzeyde yardımcı olabilir.Geçmişte suyu bir ayin şeklinde törenle içilen Ganoderma Lucidum’ un yukarıdaki özellikleri dikkate alındığına imparatorların bu mantarı neden kendilerinden başka herkeze yasakladıkları açıkça anlaşılabilmektedir.
