İslâm Dîni, kadına en büyük değeri vermiş ve onun namuslu, temiz, vakarlı,
haysiyetli ve şerefli bir tarzda yaşamasını sağlamıştır. İslâm nazarında kadın,
şefkat, merhamet, hürmet duyulması ve nezâket gösterilmesi gereken asîl ve
nezîh bir varlıktır. Peygamber (s.a.v.) Efendimiz, kadınların nârin, nâzik ve
kibâr olduklarına işâretle, onların hiç kırılmaması ve incitilmemesi
gerektiğini tavsiye etmişlerdir. Bir hadîs-i şerîflerinde:
"... Kadınlar hakkında hayırlı olup nezâketle muâmele etmenize dâir vasiyyetime
itâat ediniz! Çünkü onlar eğe kemiğinden yaratılmıştır. Eğe kemiğinin en eğri
tarafı üst kısmı (ortası) dır. Eğer sen onu doğrultmaya uğraşırsan, kırarsın;
kendi hâline bırakırsan, daima eğri kalır. O halde kadınlar hakkında hayır
öğüdüme dikkat ediniz!" (1) buyurur.
Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v.)’e ilk defâ inanan ve O’na en büyük desteği veren Hz.
Hatîce (r.anha) vâlidemizdir. Nitekim Rasûlullâh (s.a.v.) Efendimiz, Hz. Hatîce
(r.anha) vâlidemiz hakkında şöyle buyurur:
"Allâh bana Hatîce’den hayırlı bir kadın vermemiştir. Bütün insanlar beni
yalanlarken, O beni tasdîk etmiş; insanlar benden kaçarken, O beni malı ile
desteklemiştir. Ve Allâh bana başka hanımlardan değil, O’ndan çocuk ihsân
etmiştir." (2)
Kadın, aynı zamanda ilk İslâm şehîdidir. Hz. Ammâr (r.a.)’ın annesi Hz. Sümeyye
(r.anha), Mekke’de müslümanlığı ilk kabul edenlerden ve bu yüzden dayanılmaz
işkencelere uğrayanlardandı. Kendisine İslâm’dan ayrılması için yapılan her
türlü eziyet ve zulme rağmen, hak yoldan dönmedi. Sonunda Sümeyye (r.anha), Ebû
Cehl’in süngüsü altında can vermiş ve Allâh yolunda ilk İslâm şehîdi olmak
şeref ve mertebesine erişmiştir. (3)
Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de "en-Nisâ"(Kadınlar) isimli, yüz yetmiş altı âyetlik
uzun bir sûre olduğu gibi, ayrıca "Meryem" diye Hz. Îsâ (a.s.)’ın
annesine atfedilen doksan sekiz âyetlik müstakil bir sûre daha vardır.
Bunlardan başka; "en-Nûr, el-Ahzâb, el-Mümtehine, et-Tahrîm ve
et-Talâk" sûreleri de kadınlarla ilgili çeşitli konuları içine almaktadır.
İslâm Dîni’nde kadın, âile ocağında temel eğitimi veren ilk öğretmen ve
mükemmel bir eğitimcidir. Çocuğun terbiyesi, yetişmesi, her yönden gelişmesi,
daha küçük yaşta iken güzel alışkanlıklar kazanması ve faydalı bilgilerle
donatılması husûsunda annenin rolü çok büyüktür. Baba, evin nafakasının temini
için ömrünün ekserîsini âilesinden dışarıda geçirmekte, çocuğu ile yeteri kadar
meşgul olamamaktadır. Bu durumda, çocuğu asıl yetiştiren ve terbiye eden anne
olmaktadır. Nitekim peygamberler, mürşid-i kâmiller, velîler, sultanlar ve daha
nice büyük insanlar, hep mümtaz annelerin kucaklarında yetişmişlerdir.
Ahlâk kitaplarımızda; çarşıdan alınan değişik yeni bir şeyi, çocuklara
bölüştürürken önce kızlardan başlanarak ikrâm edilmesi tavsiye edilmiş, kız
çocukları daha hassas ve nâziktirler, diye düşünülmüştür.
Kız çocuklarının bakımı ve terbiyesi için her türlü fedâkârlıkta bulunan anne
ve babaların, büyük fazîlet ve ecir sâhibi olacaklarını Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v.)
Efendimiz, şu hadîs-i şerîfleriyle beyân buyurmuşlardır:
"Kim, (iki veya üç) kız çocuğunu erginlik çağına erişinceye kadar besleyip
büyütürse, kıyâmet gününde -iki parmağını birleştirerek- onunla şöylece beraber
oluruz." (4)
Bu da, yüce dînimizin kadına verdiği üstün değeri gösterir.
